A delegation of the Women's Committee visited Washukani Camp in North and East Syria in the light of the follow-up to the situation of the forcibly displaced by the Turkish aggression.

The delegation included, Jihan Khadro, the head of the Women's Committee in North and East Syria, and the co-head of the General Council of North and East Syria, Siham Qariou, and deputy of Women's Office, Ruken Malla Ibrahim.

The delegation visited the camp administration at the beginning, talked to Hussein Yousef, the administrator at  Washukani Camp, who talked about the displaced situations, and the provided services for improving their  circumstances and the displaced needs. Then, the delegation went around the camp and visited the camp school.

Jihan khadro, the head of the Women's Committee in North and East of Syria said in an interview with Hawar news agency, ANHA, "This is the first visit for the Women's Committee to Washukani, our goal is to see the situation of our people from the border areas who have been displaced by the terrorist attack on their areas and to be also informed about the situation of the women living at the camp."

Jihan noted that the displaced were living hard circumstances in this weather and within the poor capabilities of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria. "Since the beginning of the terrorist attack on the border areas, the international and relief organizations have not done anything to help those people," she said.

Jihan Khadro noted that everyone had known that the Turkish occupation aimed at dividing  the Syrian territory, and did not respect the sovereignty of the Syrian territories. She continued: "All the world witnessed the Turkish aggression against Afrin, and now Serêkaniyê and Gire Spi / Tel Abyad. Its main objective is changing the region demography."

The head of the Women's Committee in North and East of Syria put the blame on the international community for the massacres and violations which are taking place in the occupied areas, where the culture has been eliminated in these areas, and the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are carrying out arbitrary violations and arrests against the civil residents.

“We appeal to all the peoples of the world to take a unified stand for stopping the Turkish aggression against our regions, putting pressure on the Turkish state and holding it accountable for its crimes against the innocent people, and we demand the United Nations Security Council to return the displaced as soon as possible to their areas under international guarantees," Jihan Khadro, the head of the Women's Committee in the North and East of Syria said.

The delegation of the Women's Committee then went to Beith Nahreen Academy for the Young Assyrian Women in al-Hasakah to congratulate them on the coming of Christmas.
