Autonomous Administrate hands over two children to Finnish government

The Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria handed over two children of ISIS children under the age of seven to the Ambassador and Envoy of Finland to the United Nations Josie Tanner, according to a document signed between the two sides, during a meeting held in the Department of External Relations of the Autonomous Administration in the city of Qamishlo.

The meeting was attended by Abdul-Karim Omar, the co-chair of the External Relations Department for North and East Syria, the two deputies, the Deputy Women’s Authority in the Administration Ruken Mulla Ibrahim, the Deputy Women’s Authority in al-Jazeera Region, Avin Gafour, and a member of the Public Relations Office of the Women Protection Units Aytan Issa.

During the meeting, Josie Tanner and Abdul Karim Omar signed a formal receipt and handover of the two children, and Abdul Karim Omar presented a memorial shield inscribed with the image of Areen Mirkan, which is a symbol of the resistance of Kobani, in the name of the Autonomous Administration of the Finnish government.

The parents of the two children joined ISIS mercenaries, and were killed in northeastern Syria.

Josie Tanner thanked the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria for its cooperation in the matter of restoring Finnish orphan children, and said: "I would like to point out the great sacrifices made by the SDF, in defense of all humanity and not only to protect this region."

Josie Tanner pointed to the great role that the SDF played in protecting the region, and said: "The SDF is appreciated and admired." He also expressed his amazement at the success and effectiveness of Autonomous Administration and its institutions and the extent of the professionalism they deal with.

So far, the Autonomous Administration of Northeast Syria has handed over 170 women and 175 children to their governments formally, such as France, Belgium, Austria, Kazakhstan, Germany, the Netherlands, America, Britain and Sweden.
