Sheikh of clan: Ali Mamlouk’s goal is sedition; we will not give up on SDF

Major General Ali Mamlouk Head of National Security in Syria, held a meeting on December 5 with the security committee in Hasaka province with Arab clans elders and a number of personalities in the airport terminal, and then Major General Ali Mamlouk left Qamishlo airport to Damascus.

A source from the meeting told Hawar News Agency after the meeting that Ali Mamlouk invited the heads and leaders of several clans in al-Jazeera region to the meeting with the aim of calling them to withdraw their children from the Syrian Democratic Forces, and that came after the Syrian regime called in more than one occasion the SDF fighters to join the army of the Syrian regime.

In this context, the head of the notables’ council in Deir Al-Zour Sheikh Abdul Basit Ali, stated that the visit of the Head of National Security to the Syrian regime Ali Mamlouk to Qamishlo was aimed at sedition among the tribes in Syria.

Sheikh Ali added "The Arab tribes in Deir Al-Zour region were not invited to attend the visit of Ali Mamlouk, who attended the meeting and do not represent the Arab tribes in northern and eastern Syria"

About request of Ali Mamlouk from the Arab tribes to withdraw their children from the Syrian Democratic Forces, Sheikh Abdul Basit said: “14 thousand fighters who join the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces are the children of Deir Al-Zour clans only, and hundreds of our children were martyred to protect our regions from terrorism and we have not offered martyrs to give up these forces.”

He also added: As for the Arab tribes in Deir Al-Zour, we are with the Syrian Democratic Forces, and we do not accept any other force, we will not abandon them. Thanks to the people’s fraternity in northern and eastern Syria we are together today

Sheikh Abdul Basit Ali pointed out that the goal of Ali Mamlouk’s to north and east Syria is to spread sedition amongst clans, and he said "All those who attended the meeting do not represent us, we are a million and 600 thousand people in Deir Al Zour, and none of our elders and children have attended, so that is why they do not have the right to judge and make a decision instead of us.

Sheikh Abdul Basit continued his speech, "The Syrian Democratic Forces have protected the region from the whole world, and its aim is to save the region and its unity and the rights of all components

Sheikh Abdul Basit Ali concluded confirming that they stand alongside the Syrian Democratic Forces and support the Syrian-Syrian dialogue, “We will be with any decision that serves the people in the region and protects the rights of all.”
