In its statement, the General Command of the Libyan Armed Forces warned of "continued Turkish military support for the Accord Government Forces" and demanded that the city of Misrata be excluded from its use in the military effort to preserve the safety of its residents and facilities.

It stressed that the use of civilian ships and aircraft in transporting military equipment and storing such military equipment in civilian facilities violated international humanitarian law and international norms.
