Al-Jazeera region's celebrations concluded with saluting Afrin's resistance, SDF

Ad-Darbasiya

The activities of Newroz in ad-Darbasiya, which was held in the village of Kurbatli, started this morning with the participation of thousands of people in the area. The celebration was attended by the people wearing the Kurdish folk costume.

The ceremony began with a minute of silence and lighting the torch of Newroz, after which a speech was delivered on behalf of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of al-Jazeera region stating that the liberation of Afrin is near and confirmed that our military forces' victories and achievements are by virtue of the cohesion of the peoples.

During the ceremony, a message was read by political parties that congratulated Newroz on all peoples.

The Kikan singing band, the Roj Dabka band, the Hefei theatrical band presented their performances as well as many poems by Farhad Mardi.

The celebration ended with the people reacting with slogans calling for the freedom of the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, and dancing Dabka.

Dêrik

The Newroz celebration in Dêrik has ended with many plays, performances and Dabka.

Several singing, theatrical, dancing bands including Kurdish Dabka presented performances in the Newroz in Dêrik as well as many revolutionary songs.

The celebration of Newroz ended with the music of revolutionary songs and the Kurdish Dabka.

Amuda

Under the slogan "In the spirit of Newroz, we will break the isolation and liberate Afrin." Thousands of people gathered in Amuda's village of Jagger Bazar wearing Kurdish costumes and raising Kurdish symbols.

The participants chanted "victory to the Resistance of the Age," and denounced the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan.

During the ceremony, the co-chair of the Executive Council of al-Jazeera region, Nazira Korea said: "We are in a new phase, to overcome the difficulties together and drive out the invaders. We have to join together in order to move towards safety and freedom for the entire geography of North and East Syria."

Moreover, 20 political parties' messages calling for the unite the Kurdish house to form a Kurdish political reference representing the Kurdish people.

Newroz concluded saluting the fighters of the Resistance of the Age and SDF, while the bands and artists presented songs about the revolution of Rojava and the resistance of Afrin.

Serê Kanîyê

This morning, Newroz 2019, organized in the village of Ain Hisan in the region of Serê Kanîyê, was launched under the slogan "In the spirit of Newroz, will break the isolation and liberate Afrin." The residents stood for a minute of silence. Then the mothers of the martyrs lit the torch of freedom blessing Newroz on all the peoples in the north and east of Syria.

And then the political parties' telegrams on the occasion of Newroz were read, and then the martyr Viyan Peyman band of the Center of Culture and Art in Zarkan performed revolutionary songs, and Martyr Osman of the military theater in al-Jazeera performed a theatrical presentation entitled "Our destiny is linked to Internet and telephones, followed by a play by the Martyr Welat band of the Center of Culture and Art in the city of Serê Kanîyê centered on criticism and self-criticism and the reality of society.

Then the Martyr Tolhildan band presented performances of folkloric dance, and another theater performance by the Martyr Marwan band of the Culture and Art Center in the city, which refers to the criticism of the teachers. The celebration ended with Dabka and chanting slogans that salute the resistance of Afrin.

Tirbe Spîyê

The events of the celebration of Newroz in the area of ​​Tirbe Spîyê started with the participation of a wide range of people from the region, Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs, in the region of Dirjik, northeast of the area of Tirbe Spîyê ​​, where the people went to the square of the celebration since early morning, wearing folkloric costumes and waving flags of YPG, YPJ, and SDF.

In the beginning, the residents stopped a minute of silence, after which the families of the martyrs lit up the torch of Newroz, followed by artistic performances and the Dabka.

Girkê Legê

With the participation of the people of Girkê Legê, Çilaxa, Tel Koçer and representatives of the DAA in al-Jazeera region, the activities began in Girkê Legê with igniting the Newroz flame by the martyrs' mothers. The ceremony continued with speeches by the DAA and Kongra Star, afterwards, as well as artistic bands' show of drawings.

The celebration ended with Dabka rings and chanting slogans that salute the resistance.
