ANHA agency, has revealed in several reports the involvement of the Turkish state in supporting IS mercenaries. In this report, the mercenary Abrar Mohammad reveals the details of the Turkish support for IS mercenaries and how the groups who called themselves the Free Army joined IS.

Abrar Mohammed of Swedish nationality entered Syria to join the groups which were fighting the Syrian regime after following up the social networking sites and massacres committed by the regime to the Syrian people as he described. the

Before he traveled to Turkey and then entered Syria, he coordinated with a person from Antakya, who was dealing in the border area with the other side, the person demanded the mercenary Abrar after getting off the plane in Istanbul to communicate with him.

A trip from Sweden to Turkey and Istanbul in particular began in 2013 and immediately after leaving the plane, he continued to meet with the person, who did not remember his name, to meet him, where the smuggler demanded Abrar to get in the bus and to come to the Turkish state of Hatay.

Great ease of entry from Turkey to Syrian territory

Abrar met with him, who knows nothing about him only what he knows is that this person is the one who will enter him in exchange for a sum of money. Hours after the arrival of Abrar to Hatay, he met with the coordinator to start traveling to Syrian territory via Rihaniyah road.

Mohammed confirmed that during their trip to Syria and specifically to the city of Idlib did not meet any patrol or Turkish security forces on the road and on the border also, and this facilitated their entry into the Syrian territory, as described.

The mercenary says that when he entered the Syrian territory, he met a large number of foreigners and other groups and the majority of the elements of those groups are of Turkish nationality.

When Abrar entered Idlib, several terrorist groups controlled the city and the aim of Abrar was to join a group fighting the Syrian regime. Muhammad described Bab al-Hawa crossing as an exhibition of the large number of groups under different names and groups demanding to join them. He met with his friends from Sweden, who also entered the Syrian territories to join the terrorist groups and after the meeting with them, Abrar joined a battalion calling itself "al-Mohajirin al-Ansar(the Christian Migrants)."

The Free Army's alliance with IS in Idlib

Mohammed stayed in Idlib after a visit to his friend in the countryside of Aleppo, he married a Swedish woman. Months later, the Free Army groups in the city of Idlib decided to join IS and fight among mercenaries. A group of mercenaries joined the group of immigrants, which Mohammed belonged to, to start sharing areas according to the leadership as described by mercenary Mohammed, and in the wake of that "al-Muhajirin al-Ansar" group withdrew in 2014.

The factions allied with IS attacked Basofan village with a different name

In 2013, Lewa al-Tewhid united with IS, which claims to be a bloc comprising all Syrian opposition factions such as Ahrar al-Sham and Feleq al-Sham in the countryside of western Aleppo and Idlib province. The mercenaries mobilized and joined the mercenary groups and attacked Basofan village which was liberated by the People Protection Units(YPG) from the Syrian regime in 2012.

Special sources at the time confirmed to ANHA agency that they were finding IDs that read "The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria," with mercenary deaths. IS attack received great resistance by YPG who killed hundreds of them, the mercenary Mohammed confirmed that these groups were affiliated with mercenaries and attacked the city and the Kurdish villages in a different name in order to appeal to the public opinion.  

Turkey has been smuggling Syrian oil via IS areas and facilitate the entry of foreigners to it

After the arrival of the mercenary Mohammed with his battalion to al-Raqqa, he revealed that all the support received by the organization was from the Turkish state and said in this regard, "the support was directly from the Turkish state, where the organization provides daily huge amounts of oil in the regions of Deir ez-Zor, in return, mercenaries receive all kinds of support through the use of borders, as well as facilitating the entry of migrants into Syrian areas."

Abrar reveals the entry of mercenary leaders to Turkey for treatment in private hospitals

Abrar, who was the driver of an ambulance in Sweden, met with Abu Musab al-Suwaidi in al-Raqqa to provide him with the tasks of managing ambulances and the aid of mercenary members within the city of al-Raqqa and other areas of the city, Abrar during work in the hospital revealed that several leader mercenaries are being treated in private Turkish hospitals

Abrar mentioned the mercenary Abu Hafez al-Maghribi, one of the most prominent commanders of mercenaries, and received treatment in private Turkish hospitals and tells what he witnessed as follows:

One day, Abu Musab al-Suwaidi received a request from the immigration committee that deals with the entry and exit of foreign mercenaries to send the leader of mercenaries Abu Hafez al-Maghribi to the Turkish territory to be treated there after being injured in his right leg with a Kalashnikov shot. Fearing his health status deterioration, he was sent to the private Turkish hospitals to receive treatment there, and several months later, mercenary Abu Hafez al-Maghribi usually returned to the organization's territory again

The mercenary Mohammed stressed that not all members of mercenaries can enter the Turkish territory, but only prominent commanders enter the Turkish territory in coordination with the intelligence, in order to preserve the confidential relationship of the organization and the Turkish state.

IS has received significant support recently for fear of cutting off the supply routes

After SDF launched numerous campaigns against mercenaries in the areas of north-east Syria, IS feared of cutting supplies, so that the Turkish state provided the largest support to the organization, especially the medical support, as confirmed by the mercenary Mohammed that the organization received during the last period when it was in the border areas the biggest support of Turkey which was transferred by mercenaries to special warehouses of IS.

After SDF launched a campaign to liberate al-Raqqa from IS mercenaries, the mercenaries called Muhammad to go to al-Meyadin city, but because al-Meyadin city was witnessing heavy shelling by the Syrian regime, the mercenary Mohammed was forced to return to Hajin area where he surrendered to SDF.
