Tens of thousands take to Kobanî streets condemning "the Black Day"

Demonstrators carried pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan from various northern regions of Syria and gathered in the city of Kobanî to demonstrate on the 20th anniversary of the international conspiracy involving the intelligence of several countries that led to the arrest of Ocalan in Nairobi, February 15, 1999.

The demonstrators began chanting slogans denouncing the silence of the international community about Turkey's strict isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan years ago on the island of Imrali in the Sea of Marmara in northern Turkey.

On the other hand, thousands of demonstrators carried banners reading slogans calling on Turkey to "respect the people of the region and their will, expressing their solidarity with the leader in the prison."

The participants, despite heavy rainfall, walked a distance of 2 kilometers on foot carrying thousands of pictures of Ocalan, while hundreds of fighters from the People's Protection Units and Women's Protection Units participated in the military parade.

The demonstrators gathered in the Women's Free Square in the center of the city. Then the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Euphrates region, Anwar Muslim, addressed the Turkish government in the 1990s when Ocalan was arrested, stressing that the association of the oppressed components who saw salvation in his philosophy and ideology.

Anwar Muslim pointed out that those who claim to protect human rights are acting according to the directives of the governments and forgot their basic work in protecting the rights of oppressed people.
