For the 13th week in a row, protesters in France, holding banners calling for the resignation of French President Emmanuel Macron, amid intense security preparations, the demonstrators "yellow jackets" gathered next to the Arc de Triomphe.

Protesters demanded police stop violence against them, but clashes took place, injuring several of them.

In France, on 17 November last, there were large protests in response to rising taxes and cost of living, and high fuel prices.
