'My meeting with Ocalan changed the course of my life'

The mother Jamila Abedo, a resident of Qamishlo city 80-year-old, whose family consists of two young women and six young men, her son, Ibrahim Sheikhmos martyred in 1999 in Bakuk Mountains in Mardin.

Jamila Abedo met Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan during the August 15 ceremony, which was held at the Masoum Qourouqmaz Academy in Lebanon in 1989. She described her feelings as saying: "I was watching the leader coming in the academy square with great enthusiasm and tension."

She pointed out that the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan focused in his speech on the need to unite the Kurdish rank to face the dangers .

She added, "the leader Ocalan focused on the peoples fraternity and urged us to unite the Kurdish rank, not to mention the freedom of women ."

The mother Jamila said felt a great change in her personality after the implementation of the guidance of  Ocalan and noted, "Every word that was said by the leader was a training for me because of its values. This led us to engage in the revolution of Rojava and the revolution of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement in order to struggle and live in freedom and dignity. His words are still engraved in my mind and heart and firmly rooted in my imagination" .

The mother, Jamila Abedo, added that the most memorable word is how women can be strong and determined to defend themselves.

The called on all the people to continue their activities until ending the isolation of the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan.

It is worth mentioning that the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan was arrested as a result of an international plot on February 15, 1999, and impose the Turkish occupation state of sever isolation on him to prevent his family and lawyers from meeting him.
