Washington: SDF safely, humanly captured "jihadists", their states must try them

On Monday evening, The United States called concerned states to restore its citizens who joined IS and are detained by Syrian Democratic Forces SDF and bring them to trial, Washington affirmed that the forces detained the terrorists in a safe and humanly way.

On Monday, Washington expressed its wish from the concerned states to restore its residents who fought with IS in Syria, whom the Syrian Democratic Forces detain now.

Weeks after the coalition states considered the issue the remaining extremists in Syria, US announced clearly its preference to transfer them to their countries, Washington said that the Syrian Democratic Forces which Kurds constitute its basic component are safely and humanly arresting jihadists, these forces played pioneer role to defeat IS gangs.

"The United States called other countries to restore and prosecute their citizens held by SDF, and appeals of the continued efforts of these forces to repatriate these foreign terrorist fighters to their countries of origin," State Department spokesman Robert Paladino said in a statement.

The announcement comes two days before a scheduled meeting of foreign ministers of US allies in Washington to hold talks on the alliance to counter Daesh and ask questions about how to continue without US military support.
