Total curfew imposed in al-Tabqa

The Interior Committee in al-Tabqa area imposed a total curfew throughout the city to avoid riots that may target the public properties on the background of differences erupted among some parties this afternoon in the center of the city.

The Interior Committee in al-Tabqa area issued on Monday a statement to public opinion, declaring a total curfew in the city until further notice.

The text of the statement which ANHA obtained is as following,

"Because of the differences that broke out among some parties in al-Tabqa city on Monday noon, to avoid any other repercussions that could cause riots and sabotage of public and private properties in the city, to not deteriorate the situation among the parties and to resolve these differences, the following have been decided:

1 – The declaration of a total curfew in the city until further notice.

2 - It is forbidden to enter and leave the city entirely.

3. This circular must activate from the date of its issuance.

4 - All citizens must adhere to the content of the circular, and anyone who violates the content of the circular exposes themselves to legal accountability.

The curfew imposed by the Interior Committee in al-Tabqa follows a similar curfew imposed in the town of al-Mansoura nearly a week ago on the backdrop of riots in the town located in al-Tabqa eastern countryside and adjacent to the areas controlled by the Syrian regime forces.
