With resilience, mothers recorded al-Sheikh Maqsoud resistance's history 

They stood beside the fighters who resisted on the fighting fronts against the most violent attacks witnessed al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood. They proved their existence and recorded the history of the resistance. After the liberation of the neighborhood, they kept their land constantly to organize themselves.

In al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood's resistance, there were many stories of resistance. They have sacrificed a lot during the battles declared by the mercenaries against them over the past years. In the neighborhood, the fighters formed defensive lines, and the rest of the parents took their role in the organization and support of those forces.

At a time when bullets and martyrdom were on their way, the mothers in al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood did not hesitate to provide support and assistance to their sons, daughters, sisters and brothers, and they resisted beside them.

The citizen Zaloukh Hamouda is 48 years old, the mother of 5 children, and she is a member of the Martyr Sawsan women commune. Her son, Ibrahim Hamo, known as Cîger Xwîn was martyred in the Resistance of the Age in Shera district in Arab Weran village and the mother of two fighters in the People's Protection Units (YPG) who are Gîvara Hamo, Sîyamend Hamo.

. Zaloukh was one of the women of al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood who were adhere to their land and home as she stayed in her home with her family till the neighborhood was exposed to the most fiercest attacks, and the mercenaries were about to enter the neighborhood.

Zaloukh said, "At the beginning of the Syrian crisis, my husband suggested to my children to go out of Syria in search of work and to live safely away from the atmosphere of war, while my children refused the idea and said," We will not leave our land, but we will defend our soil."

She added, "My son Sîyamend Hamo who is at 20 was wounded in the belly and his hands were amputated as a result of a bomb exploded near him during the mercenaries' attacks on the neighborhood. When I met Sîyamend, he fell his head to the ground and said, "I did not wish to be wounded at this time. The mercenaries are at our doors and want to break into our neighborhood." After his status got stable, he returned to his position on the fronts and fought with his comrades, and when the mercenaries were defeated, that was a historic moment for us."

She continued, "I was doing my duty as a member of the Protection Committee in the women's commune through my duty to prepare food in the kitchen, and other things that are required of us."

The solidarity of the neighborhood's women with the fighters raised their morale

The citizen Amina Rashid, a 50-year-old woman, is an administrative member of the martyr Binefsh commune. She is the mother of four young men and a daughter. Three of them are fighters, and they are Jwan, Abdo and Rezan Sheikh Hamo who resisted on the fighting fronts against the attacks launched on them.

Amina supported her children through her steadfastness in the neighborhood and her struggle under the indiscriminate shells that pursued them by the mercenaries. She confirmed, "The solidarity of the neighborhood's women with the fighters on the fronts raised their spirits to a great extent as they were from the neighborhood."

She noted, "All the fighters are our sons, and we head to them sometimes to ensure their requirements of food and drink, and raise their morale in addition to creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm on the fronts away from the fear and panic that the mercenaries tried to implant in our hearts."

Amina Rashid said that during the war, they were organizing the commune and they adhered to what was required of them. She said, "We will follow the path of the martyrs who struggled till the last moment to reach a free homeland."
