Border villages' residents: Security to occur in region after Turkey stops its attacks

Recently, there have been many talks about the ways to establish a buffer zone in Syria under the auspices of Turkey to ensure security in the north and east of Syria as Erdogan claims in his remarks.

The people of a number of border villages in the area of Tirbê Spîyê district of Qamishlo canton said in an interview conducted by ANHA agency with them that security will occur in the region after Turkey and its soldiers stop targeting their villages and stop attacks on their land.

Jaziya Mohammed, a resident of the village of Kel Hasnak which is about 500 meters away from the border between Bakur and Rojava Kurdistan said, "For years, Turkey has been practicing the policy of terrifying the villagers and attacking the safe villages; burning their orchards and properties, firing shots even at the animals and preventing the inhabitants from planting their lands."

Jaziya pointed out that Turkey aims to empty the area of its indigenous people through its practices.

In turn, Raniya Haj Salo from the village of Dirna Qlanka said that the Turkish state is the only danger to them and their villages, stressing that the Turkish occupation aims through talking about the buffer zone to complete its occupation of the remaining Syrian territory.

Raniya pointed out that they live in security and peace, but that the Turkish state constitutes a siege on the citizens, and this is nothing new.

The young man Zana Ibrahim one of the people from the border villages stressed that talking about a buffer zone is meaningless as long as the sons and daughters of the region have undertaken to protect their areas since the beginning of the revolution, and the only threat to these buffer zones is the Turkish occupation.

Zana Ibrahim demanded the international community to impose an air embargo on the areas of northern and eastern Syria, and stop the Turkish attacks.
