'Leyla Guven embodied the reality of women resistance'

Mezgin Ahmed pointed out that the activity of Leyla Guven embodied the reality of the resistance of women rejecting male mentality, and stressed that their demands are the demands of the Kurdish people during a speech in a demonstration in Amouda district.

Kongra Star organized today a demonstration in Amouda district, denouncing the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and in solidarity with the Kurdish parliamentarian Leyla Guven.

The demonstration, which began before the Martyr Jihad Square, participated by hundreds of people of the region carrying flags of Kongra Star, the Democratic Union Party and pictures of Martyr Avista Khabur and Arin amid the slogans that denounced the Turkish occupation.

After holding a minute of silence Mezgin Ahmed spoke on behalf of Kongra Star and said, "Today, and after 81day of hunger strike of Leyla Guven we praise her heroic resistance in order to lift the isolation imposed on Ocalan."

Mezgin pointed out that the reality of the resistance woman is embodied in the personality of the activist Leyla Guven, the resistance she demonstrated in the prisons of the Turkish occupation has affected the four parts of Kurdistan.

Mezgin Ahmed at the end of her speech commemorated the struggler Avista Khabour, who carried out a commando operation in Afrin against the Turkish occupation army .

The demonstration ended with slogans saluted the resistance of the activist Leila Guven.
