Hasan Muhammad Ali: discussion of buffer zone project content is continuing

During the seminar held on Saturday by the Syrian Dialogue Forum in Manbij, under the title "The current political and military situation and the next stage," the member of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council Hasan Mohamed Ali, answered ANHA correspondent's questions. "How do you deal with the buffer zone which is a political proposal during your discussions with the International Coalition?. And what is the vision of the Syrian Democratic Council about the announcement of the American withdrawal from Syria?

Hasan said that the local councils within the buffer zone will remain and will demonstrate their areas. He said that they proposed that Syrian Democratic Forces protect the buffer zone and that there should be international sponsorship of the buffer zone through patrols of international forces on the border to monitor and ensure security in the region.

He added," this project is still on the table, but there are some parties explain these discussions as they want, I confirm that till now the formula of these buffer zone has not crystallized yet."

He continued saying," We are as the Syrian Democratic Council reject the entry of any force to the area, unless these forces are to observe and sponsor the buffer zone, no more, that is, our troops will remain in its place."

As for the vision of the Syrian Democratic Council on the announcement of the American withdrawal from Syria, Hasan said that the foreign forces will eventually emerge from Syria and that from the beginning they rely on their own power, not on external forces. "But the downside is the sudden and rapid decision, "This decision may give terrorism an opportunity to resume its activity in the region and threaten its security, or the sudden and rapid decision will weaken the struggle of our forces against IS mercenaries."
