Elder of al-Demalkha clan: we will not accept any buffer zone under auspices of Turkey

In an interview conducted by ANHA agency with elder of al-Demalkha clan in Manbij, Abdul Razzaq Ismail about the talk rolling in the establishment of a buffer zone in the regions of northern and eastern Syria, he said  "Some regional and international countries are planning to establish a buffer zone, and this zone is under Turkish protection, but as residents of these areas we reject the imposition of this buffer zone, which they claim will be safe, because our children liberated these areas with their blood.

Abdul Razzaq wondered about the reason for the establishment of the buffer zone as long as the region is safe and stable. He pointed out that all of their liberated lands in northern and eastern Syria are safe and do not need anyone to protect them and that they are safe in their components and peoples and added, "We live in safety and stability. Everyone is visiting the area and looking closely at how the people of the region live with each other, especially here in the city of Manbij."

As for the international conventions on the establishment of a buffer zone under the auspices of Turkey, Abdul Razzaq Ismail pointed out that any external intervention in Syrian affairs or any military intervention or imposition of any external dictations is a violation of the sovereignty of Syrian territory and does not reflect the will of the peoples of the region.

He stressed that the entry of any state in Syrian territory without the will of its people is an occupying force, saying: "We do not accept the occupation of our territories by any party, whether Turkish or other, any military intervention in Syrian territory, if not to help its people to get rid of injustice is an occupation, we as the people of Syria do not accept a new occupation of our liberated lands. We do not need any force that gives us safety other than our forces of Syria. We reject any buffer zone that is under the auspices of Turkey.

Ismail said that the military and security forces and the current civil administration in Manbij represents the will of the people of this city and that those who manage the city and the region are its sons since its release from mercenaries and that these parties are empowered to make the decision concerning the city with its administrative borders.
