Dêrik, Tirbespiyê protestors: In Avesta's soul, we will liberate Afrin

QAMISHLO

The voices of the protestors in Dêrik chanting slogans condemning the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries of Afrin during a protest organized on the first anniversary of the Turkish aggression and occupation of Afrin, the city of peace.

People of Dêrik participated in the demonstration with all its components in addition to the institutions of the civil community and political parties and religious scholars.

The protestors raised banners reading" The Turkish occupation is an occupation of looting and theft", "Hear the cries of the children of Afrin"

Demonstrators stopped in the square of Martyr Bayram, and after a minute of silence, the co-chair of Qamishlo canton, on behalf of Kongra Star, Perwin Muhammad Amin, delivered a speech in which she recalled all the martyrs of freedom in the Resistance of the Age. She said "We remember all our martyrs who gave their most precious in the path of peoples' freedom and dignity ".

She noted that Afrin was a model of coexistence and an example of freedom and democracy, which was taken from the philosophy of the democratic nation a principle for it. However, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have, on this day and with international complicity, bombed the safe areas that are overcrowded with civilians and occupied the city of peace amidst international silence.

Tirbespiyê

In Tirbespiyê district, the demonstrators have gathered in front of Kongra Star center raising banners reading "No to the Turkish occupation, We demand of air embargo on our territory,” and saluted the Resistance of the Age in Afrin.

The co-chair of Culture an Art Body in Qamishlo, Berivan Younis, said that the Turkish occupation represented by the Justice and Development Government stands against any democratic project in the region and the inhuman massacres committed against Afrin residents is the best proof of that.”
