Kurdish protesters attacked by Erdogan's guards in Washington filed a lawsuit against Turkey

The Kurdish protesters, who were attacked by the Turkish security officials during the visit of the President Recep Teyyip Erdogan to Washington in 2017, filed a lawsuit against the Turkish government because of their injuries according to the International Radio Station "PRI"

According to the report, published on the radio, "11 people were injured and nine were taken to the hospital in May 2017 after Erdogan's security forces attacked the demonstrators outside the place of residence of the Turkish president in the US capital, Washington."

Murad Yaza, a Kurdish activist from Turkey, was among the demonstrators. He and a Yazidi woman were among those who were violently attacked.

Yaza said, "More than a year has passed and I am still reviewing a neurologist and a psychiatrist with some injuries on my head because of the kicks on my head. I have a headache, and my teeth were broken."

Yaza said, "The Yazidi woman still receives the medical treatment, and sees the psychiatrist too." He added that both of them suffer from memory problems and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Yaza said that he and his fellows filed a lawsuit in a US federal court against Turkey because they believe that justice must be achieved.
