Gharib Hesso: "Safe zones" under Turkey's auspices aim to occupy north Syria

Gharib Hesso said during a speech at the third conference of Kobanî Canton Intellectuals' Union that Turkey's goal of the "safe zones" is to occupy northern Syria, and he appealed to all components of the region to unite to build a decentralized democratic Syria.

The activities of the third conference of Kobanî Intellectuals' Union are continuing after they were launched on Saturday morning with the participation of dozens of intellectuals and representatives of the Autonomous Administration institutions, political parties and civil society institutions.

During the conference, the co-chair of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Society Movement Gharib Hesso delivered a speech, addressing the latest developments in the region.

Hesso expressed his hope that the conference will be a means to achieve further progress and achieve peace and stability, stressing the continuation of the struggle against the enemies.

He added, "Turkey says that it will establish a safe zone, but we will not accept it in any way because the goal of this policy is to occupy our safe areas."

At the end of his speech, Hesso called for all components of the region to unite to build a decentralized democratic Syria.
