Hamo: Al-Jolani's remarks confirm their intimate relations with Turkey

The countryside of Aleppo, Idlib, Hama and Lattakia witnessed in the beginning of this year a fight between Hayet Tahrir al-Sham mercenaries (formerly Jabhet al-Nusra) and the mercenary factions existed in those areas, and it resulted in the expansion of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham's influence at the expense of those Turkish-backed factions, and their withdrawal towards Afrin lands amid Turkey's silence towards those developments.

On this subject, Hawar news agency held a special meeting with the member of the presidential council of the Syrian Democratic Council Ferhad Hamo.

Hamo said that what is happening west of the Euphrates River is the result of prior agreements held between Turkey, Russia and Iran within Astana track, and any change in the maps and influence is the result of those agreements.

He added, "Jabhet al-Nusra and IS have enjoyed good relations with Turkey over many years and on large parts of the border. They were in a state of harmony away from problems and disagreements, and posed no threat to the national security of Turkey."

During his speech, Hamo said that Hayet Tahrir al-Sham / Jabhet al-Nusra mercenaries controlled Idlib under a Turkish scheme in the first place.

He continued, "The presence of the Turkish observation points close to the clashes' areas is an evidence of this matter. Turkey did not show any concern and did not interfere to stop the extension of Jabhet al-Nusra in Idlib."

Ferhad Hamo said, "The danger of the Turkish state's scheme lies in transferring its mercenaries to Afrin city in order to legitimize the rest of the factions." He added, "Turkey is required by the Russians to exclude the terrorist factions from their areas of influence. This way, Turkey can say that there are terrorist and moderate factions."

About the agreement held between Tahrir al-Sham mercenaries and Ahrar al-Sham mercenaries that included the withdrawal of those mercenary gangs from Idlib countryside towards Afrin, Hamo explained that the danger lies in the consolidation of the demographic change that Turkey has been seeking since the occupation of Afrin after bringing the families of the mercenaries from various Syrian cities and settling them in Afrin.

He continued, "These military movements coincide with the imposition of languages ​​on the indigenous people and granting identity cards and ownership to the mercenaries' families in the city."

On the statements made by the mercenary commander of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham, Abo Mohammed al-Jolani, supporting the Turkish trend towards carrying out a military operation in the regions of north and east of Syria, Hamo stressed that it is only a process of developing the relations between Turkey and Hayet Tahrir al-Sham mercenaries. He added, "They are the allied parties with Turkey, and their interests require fighting our democratic project."

The member of the presidential council of MSD Farhad Hamo stressed at the end of his speech that the statements of al-Jolani are only a confirmation of the intimate relationship between them and Turkey."
