'Parties' Unity is historic decision, the most important demands of Kurdish people'

The party declared solidarity with the decision issued by the eight Kurdish parties in Bakur (north Kurdistan) and any decision that contributes to the unification of the Kurdish house.

To ensure the protection of the Kurdish people's gains and the people living with it in Bakur (north Kurdistan), eight Kurdish parties have decided to unify their ranks to run for the next municipal elections which will take place soon.

After this announcement, the Kurdish street was optimistic and considered it an important step towards unifying the Kurdish ranks in various parts of Kurdistan, in addition to holding the Kurdistan National Congress to defeat all attacks against the Kurds from its enemies.

In this context, the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria issued a statement to public opinion, in which it called upon all the people of Bakur Kurdistan to participate strongly and effectively and bear their historical responsibility.

The text reads:

"Regarding the municipal elections that will be held soon in Bakur Kurdistan, which is a qualitative shift of the Kurdish situation and its political movement in general and all other components living together to achieve its legitimate goals.                                                        

In response of our responsibility for these upcoming elections and the importance of their great results on our Kurdish people and all the coexistence components, in addition to playing an influential role in political decision-making in the region, in addition to the importance of the unification and arrangement of the Kurdish house.

We in the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria as a national and moral duty to express the position of the party in solidarity with the historic decision taken by eight Kurdish parties in Bakur Kurdistan to unify the electoral list, which is one of the most important demands of the Kurdish street, especially at this sensitive and difficult stage experienced by the Kurdistan people in its four parts, and ask all our people in Bakur Kurdistan to participate strongly and effectively and bear the historic responsibility entrusted to them in support and election of this historic and democratic list to preserve the gains and the best future of all the people of Bakur Kurdistan."
