Elham Ahmed: People's unity against Turkish threats shows their political awareness

The co-chair of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Elham Ahmed said, "The resistance shown by the people throughout the north and east of Syria and their solidarity in the face of the Turkish threats show the extent of the people's organization and awareness of the reality of the Turkish policies hostile to the people and their security."

The speech delivered by the co-chair of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council, Elham Ahmed, during her participation in the activities of the youth sit-in which was held in Manbij which was held with the initiation by the Union of Young Women in Manbij.

At the beginning of her talk, Elham Ahmed praised the young women for their protesting against the Turkish aggression on the northern regions of Syria and their resistance in the face of the occupation.

Elham said, "Today, our regions are under attack and serious threats by the Turkish occupation, and we are being put under pressure by other forces seeking to take over these areas liberated from terrorism by the sacrifices of the sons and daughters of the region."

She added, "The stability of these areas will lead to the stability of Syria which will lead the Syrian people to safety. Targeting the security and stability of these areas means targeting the security and stability of all Syrian people."

Elham concluded, "We will not rely on any external force. Our strength, organization and forces will be the basis for self-defense in the management of our regions and the maintaining of our stability and security."
