The People's Protection Units (YPG) said on Friday that after withdrawing from Manbij, they called the Syrian state to send its armed forces to receive these points and protect Manbij area against Turkish threats.

While the Syrian army command announced the entry of units of the Syrian army to the borders of ​​Manbij area, and said, "units of the Syrian army entered the borders of Manbij city and raised the Syrian flag in it." The statement stressed "the importance of concerted efforts of all the sons of the nation in the maintenance of national sovereignty renewed its insistence on defeating terrorism and defeat all invaders ".

Following these developments, the statements of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Ministry of Defense contradicted the recent announcement that the People's Protection Units were not entitled to invite other parties to enter Manbij.

The ministry also called on all parties to refrain from taking any measures that destabilize the region.

Turkish President Recap Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara would  have nothing to do in Manbij if the People's Protection Units left Manbij.

The People's Protection Units, which participated in the liberation of Manbij at the invitation of Manbij Military Council, withdrew from the city and left some of its advisers to train troops there.
