Al-Tabqa's Civil Administration: ISIS cells intensified their activities after Trump's decision

The Democratic Civil Administration said in a statement "A sudden statement issued from the White House to withdraw US troops from North- East Syria, and these statements coincided with a sensitive and critical phase on the region."

Last week, US President Donald Trump announced the withdrawal of his troops from North-East Syria, a step that was met with an internal US rejection and from Western allies who have expressed fears of a resurgent activity in conjunction with threats by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to occupy North-East Syria.

"The Turkish threats and its equipment to invade our areas, as well as the continuation of the campaign to eliminate ISIS with the presence of terrorist cells spread throughout the region and have done some terrorist acts in different areas".

The statement said that the US withdrawal will give an opportunity to ISIS to reorganize itself to return and threaten the entire region."

"Syrian Democratic Forces, with the support of the International Alliance, are still facing the most dangerous and most powerful terrorist organization in the world on the Syrian trerritories. They were the partners of the International Alliance to defeat terrorism and rid the whole world of this organization."

The statement called on the US administration to provide a clear reason for this withdrawal and its sudden abandonment of the gains which it has shared by the Alliance Countries as the US has pledged us to support stability in the region.

The Civil Administration refuted the US president's allegations that ISIS had ended. "The terrorist organization is still exists and has formed gangs and cells that have been active in the last few days and have carried out a number of terrorist attacks targeting civilians and schools."
