HPG carried out a sniper operation against Turkish occupation

The fighters of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) carried out a sniper operation against the elements of the Turkish occupation army in Ali Derij hill in Sidkan area in Başûr (South Kurdistan.)

The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement to the public opinion about an operation carried out by the fighters of HPG against elements of the Turkish occupation army in Başûr Kurdistan. The statement included,

"On December 18 at 07:00, our forces carried out a sniper operation against elements of the Turkish occupation army in Ali Derij hill in Sidkan area in Başûr Kurdistan. The operation resulted in wounding one of the Turkish occupation's soldiers. Moreover, after the operation, the Turkish occupation army bombarded the area with heavy weapons.

On December 19 between 20:20 and 21:00, the helicopters of Cobra kind that belong to the Turkish occupation army bombarded the areas of Kherkol hill, Seddam hill, the Martyr Delila hill and Restum in al-Zab area within the lawful defense zones, and our fighters opened fire at the helicopters and obliged them to leave the area."
