450 Hunger strikers called on international community to break its silence

450 People in Amouda district went on hunger strike in support of Leyla Guven demands and condemned the harsh isolation imposed on Ocalan and demanded the international community to break its silence over the Turkish threats of north and east of Syria .They stressed that the Turkish aggression targets all the peoples of the region.

Under the slogan "Let's Break the Isolation and Fascism to Live Free with Leader Ocalan," this morning, Kongra Starr organized the hunger strike at Hori Center for Culture and Art in Amouda as part of a series of activities organized by Kongra Star Conference and the Democratic Unionist Party (PYD), in support of the demands of activist Leyla Guven and to denounce the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The event was attended by 450 people from Amouda districts and its villages.

The strikers condemned Turkish practices against detainees in prisons. And called for lifting the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the access of political prisoners to their rights and freedom.

The event is scheduled to last for two days in a row.
