Qamishlo's demo ended by delivering statement to UN

Thousands of Qamishlo components demonstrated against the threats made by Turkish President Erdogan, which included the launching of a campaign against the north-eastern regions of Syria, and in response to the general alarm announced by Autonomous Administration of northeastern Syria to stand united against the colonial policies of the Turkish state .The demo took place in al-Surian neighborhood.

Turkish and Kurdish people in Turkey must rise up against Turkish threats

The participants in the demonstration called on the people of Turkey and Bakur Kurdistan to rise up against the Turkish threats against the regions of northeastern Syria, and appealed to the Kurdish forces to unify their ranks to deter the Turkish threats. They pointed out that Turkey aims through its threats to destabilize the security and stability of the region.

On arrival at the United Nations headquarters in al-Siyahi neighborhood of Qamishlo city, a statement was read by Ali Omar, the co-chair Martyrs Families Council of Qamishlo. The statement noted:

In light of the threats by the head of the occupying power to the peoples of the north and east of the Euphrates, we appeal to the UN and all its institutions to assume their responsibilities because any new step of the occupying state, such aggression, as a prelude to the reoccupation will constitute a victory for terrorism, and will not only harm the north and east of the Euphrates, but will affect the whole of the free world if it does not exercise its legal role and human responsibilities sooner. Demos are a suitable response to Turkish threats

Talaat Younis, a member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Union Party said, "The objective of Erdogan's threats is to undermine the security and stability of the region, and to strike at the democratic nation's project which is followed by all the components of the region." The statement pointed out that Erdogan is trying through his threats to grant morale to IS mercenaries, and pointed out that the demos of all components of the region of the Kurds and Arabs and Syria today are an appropriate response to the statements made by Erdogan and evidence to unite all components with each other and defend their land.

The statement pointed out that the region is living at a sensitive stage and all the components of the region must unite and join general alarm and noted that these threats aimed at all Syria's areas.
