Near border, dozens of thousands responded to Erdogan's threats

Dozens of thousands of Kobanî canton people demonstrated in the streets of the city near the Turkish borders in response to Erdogan's statements to launch a military attack targeting the areas of North and East Syria.

The people gathered near the Free Woman Square holding banners with "Erdogan threats to revive a news Ottoman state," "Attacking Kobanî is to revive IS," "Your threats would not fear us, but increase our insistence to resist," written on.

The citizens who came from various villages and towns of the canton in addition to members and administrators in the civil society institutions in the canton and the Kurdish political parties participated in the massive demonstration that toured the Marty Sariya Ozgur 48.

Dilber Youssef, the administrator in the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) in Kobanî canton delivered a speech during the demonstration. She stood at the Martyr Agîd Square near the Turkish border and said that the world knows that the city that is exposed to the Turkish threats is the city that fought the most dangerous gangs that form a risk against all the countries of the world. 

Dilber Youssef called on the International Coalition to make clear its attitude towards the Turkish threats, and the Syrian regime that remains silent every time Erdogan threats the northern areas of Syria.

The demonstration came in coincidence with other demonstrations launched in a number of the cities in North Syria to confirm the resistance choice and demand the countries participated in fighting the terrorism beside the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to make clear their position towards the Turkish threats.
