For 2nd day ... hunger strike continues in Çil Agha

The hunger strikers in Çilaxa district continue their activity for the second day in a row in solidarity with Leila Guven, denouncing the isolation imposed on the leader Ocalan.

70 people from Çilaxa district belonging to Qamishlo canton launched a hunger strike on Friday in tents set up by Democratic Union party and Kongr Star which called for the event.

The hunger strike comes in solidarity with the co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference and Parliamentarian of Democratic People's Party of Colemêrg in north Kurdistan Lelia Guven who began a hunger strike in Amed prison since Nov. 7, denouncing the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The strike is being attended by members and administrators of institutions within the district.

Delegations from the institutions of Girkê Legê district and Derik city have started on Saturday morning to come to the strike tent to participate in it. In the meantime, the administrative of Kongra Star Heifa Mohmmoud delivered a speech, she affirmed their determination to move forward until the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan is granted his freedom.

Heifa Mohmmoud has stressed solidarity with the co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference and Parliamentarian to Democratic People's Party of Colemêrg in north Kurdistan Lelia Guven "We will continue our activities in solidarity with our leader and activist Leila Guven," she said. "We will do our best to reach our goal."

The activity of the hunger strike would end on Saturday in evening hours, as reported by the Preparatory Committee.
