SDF's Media Center issued a statement in this regard published on its official website  and said, as part of the continued battle to defeat terrorism to eliminate the remnants of IS organization in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, our fighters have thwarted a terrorist attempt attack on points they were able to install earlier, and killed 12 mercenaries of IS in the clashes.

The engineering teams were also able to dismantle (9) mines.

Coalition aircraft carried out several raids on terrorist positions and destroyed their fortifications.

Our fighters advanced from two axes each one 1 km and were able to establish 14 points after violent clashes in which a number of terrorists were killed. Our fighters seized weapons and detonated two mines planted by the terrorists to impede the advance of the fighters.

Coalition aircraft destroyed several terrorist sites and detonated cars and weapons.

Our fighters were able to break the terrorist defense lines, advance 700 meters, establish27 points, advance 1 km and establish 18 points from another axis. While combing the area, the fighters found an armored bulldozer.

All the battle are witnessing intermittent clashes until the moment of preparation this outcome.
