Phillips at University of Rojava classroom: Peace building is done only by justice, security

Under the auspices of Rojava Center for Strategic Studies and the University of Rojava in Qamishlo city, the director of the Peace building and Human Rights Program at Columbia University's Institute of Human Rights David Phillips gave a lecture on the division of power and political transition in Syria at the classroom  of Rojava University.

In the course of his lecture, he stressed the need for constitutional arrangements, a unified state, a federal state, a confederation, a transitional mandate, human rights and minorities and the best requirements that the state must exercise and human rights criteria in the world, the need for other measures to save minorities, as well as the culture and economy of transitional justice, disarmament and reintegration, and previous experiences of disarmament and integration.

He concluded his lecture by talking about security, which is the basis for building peace and stability, and said that peace-building was done only with justice, security, multiculturalism and the need for diversity and over time, we would see the peace process take its course.
