Afrin citizens: Achievements made by virtue of our leader's thought

A number of Afrin residents who have met with the leader Abdullah Ocalan during the 1990s in Lebanon pointed out, "What we have achieved today in the area was by virtue of the thought and philosophy of Ocalan."

ANHA's correspondents held interviews with the people who are residing in al-Shahba canton's districts and villages.

The citizen Omar Mohammed who is from Khalil village belonging to Shia district in Afrin and is residing in al-Shahba canton met with the leader Ocalan twice in 1991 and 1992 in July in the Academy of the Martyr Korkmaz in Lebanon .

Omar Mohammed said about the meetings of Ocalan that they focused on the Kurdish Cause, nationality, means of defense and the rights of the people. He added, "The leader relied more in his meetings on explaining the Kurdish Cause, and repeated to us to return to our patriotism and our love for our land."

And on the axis of equality between women and men which was said by the leader Ocalan, Omar made clear, "Today, we see that all peoples are following the ideology and philosophy of the leader Ocalan, especially the Middle East and North Syria through joint actions between the two genders and this is considered one of the historical steps, and what the leader said has been achieved in reality."

Jamal Ibesh form Ziyaretê village belonging to Sherawa district in Afrin canton, also met with the leader Abdullah Ocalan in 1991 and 1992 in Lebanon.

On his meetings, Jamal Ibesh said, "I have met with the leader for two hours. He held a meeting and talked to us about humanity. His speeches always aspirated at protecting communities in the Middle East and getting them rid of injustice and oppression."

He added, "We talked through these meetings about the ways and means of organization. The leader has always referred to the organization of society and to how to repel the concepts of enemies, and today, we see what we reached to; the outputs and gains made in our organization."

Jamal Ibesh pointed out at the end of his speech, "The leader's talk focused on Kurdish people's enemies since ancient times, and today, we see who is the first enemy of the Kurds. Occupying Afrin is good example of the aggression of the Turkish state to undermine the will of the Kurdish people."
