Dialogue continues with lecture by Sihanouk Dibo about Syrian Constitution

The Syrian-Syrian dialogue, held under the slogan of "the Syrian Dialogue, Building and Progress", will continue on the first axis of the second day of dialogue, "The Syrian Constitution and its Fundamental Principles", where the Syrian-Syrian dialogue member Sihanouk Dibo has given a lecture on the history of the Syrian Constitution.

Sihanouk said, "The peaceful and friendly coexistence with other peoples has supported and activated the civil society institutions, built the system of law and democracy which ensures the priority of laws as it is the will of the people, provided a decent standard of living for citizens in the fields of politics, economy and fair society away from national, military, and religion concepts of state, canceled all forms of discrimination based on race, religion, creed, or doctrine and made the political and moral fabric in the Syrian society to reach to its function of mutual understanding and coexistence within pluralism."

In his lecture, Dibo pointed out that the new Syrian constitution would not be based on a slight modification of Syria's current constitution, which in turn came in exceptional circumstances that did not reflect the will of the people of Syria. If the Syrians cannot achieve a constitution, that will be in the Syrian social contract, that is, we are in front of the production of the crisis and the perpetuation of dependency and the repercussions of the crisis, leading to the division and fragmentation, without understanding whether it is a difference in name or a determination to end the dispute.

During his lecture, Sihanouk Dibo mentioned the principles of the Syrian Constitution, which included several points; the powers of the central government, the joint powers between the central government and the Syrian Autonomous Administration, the exclusive authority of the Democratic Autonomous Administrations.

The dialogue continues with the discussion of the audience on the first axis of the second day of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.
