Serê Kaniyê elders clans, sheikhs condemned Turkish practices against north of Syria

The popular and social reactions are rising against the attacks of the Turkish occupation army against the north of Syria. In this context, more than 200 dignitaries and elders clans and sheikhs participated in an expanded meeting called by the Public Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF).

The meeting was held under the slogan "The Elders' Clans and the Components of Society in Serê Kaniyê, al-Darbasiya, Amouda and Zarkan, Are Against the Turkish Aggression and its Flagrant Interference in the Affairs of the Syrian People."

After holding a minute of silence, the advisor of the General Command of SDF for civil affairs, Rizan Gilo, delivered a speech and commended all those who participated in the meeting and praised the national position of the region's dignitaries against the Turkish occupation. He also praised the role of tribes and in addressing the conspiracy against the peoples of northern Syria, and stressed in his speech that the region is living a historic turning point in which the revolution of freedom is approaching to achieve its objectives.

Then, the door was open to the discussion, dialogue and exchanging views to express their positions towards the Turkish aggression.

Abdul Razzaq al-Hilo, a representative of al-Edwan clan said "It is known that intellectuals usually lead the forefront of the revolution, but the alleged Syrian revolution began from the mosques, so the revolution turned to extremism."

The representative of the Syriac component at the forum, Abdul-Ahad Karkuz, said: "The Turkish state was built on the blood of the peoples of the region and its authority was imposed on the peoples of the region in the name of Islam, Erdogan collected mercenaries from all over the world and used them to fight the peoples of the region.

The representative of Badina clan stressed the necessity of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue. He said that Turkey is an occupied country and condemned Turkish interference in the affairs of the Syrian people. He also condemned the recent American positions against the commanders of the Freedom Movement.

At the end of the meeting, a joint statement issued by the dignitaries of the region in connection with the attacks of the Turkish occupation.

A similar meeting was held today in Qamishlo city, bringing together the dignitaries of Qamishlo canton.
