Omer: Proposals to solve foreign IS' issue in North Syria

Hawar news agency met with the co-chair of the Office of the Foreign Relations in the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria, Abdel Karim Omer, on the fate of IS' foreign mercenaries existed at the hands of SDF, and his tour in a number of countries for the sake of the delivery of these elements to their countries.

Elements of IS mercenaries who are present to SDF

At the beginning of his speech, Abdel Karim Omer said that during the campaigns launched by SDF in northern and eastern Syria to eliminate IS mercenaries and expel them from the region, the fighters were able to arrest 795 foreign mercenaries, in addition to 584 wives of IS mercenaries who are also foreign with 1,248 children, noting that they are from origins of 46 countries.

The countries of the world evade their responsibilities to receive their citizens

The co-chair of the Office of External Relations in the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria said that the countries whom IS mercenaries' origins owe to evade their responsibility to receive their citizens in an attempt to keep this fireball away from their countries and keep them in the areas of SDF.

Meetings and discussions about the return of foreign mercenaries to their countries

Omer touched upon his meeting with a number of officials in the countries that IS mercenaries who are present to SDF belong to and said in this context, "During our tour, we held several meetings and discussions with several countries and the International Red Crescent Organization whose goal was the need for the international society to hold its duty to return the mercenaries present to SDF to their countries."

Omer pointed out that during the investigations conducted with IS mercenaries, it has been clear that SDF were able to block several ways before the mercenaries who tried to carry out terrorist operations in the European countries. This is the duty of the forces, and the European countries must do their duty towards SDF and receive their mercenaries.

Proposals to solve the problem of the foreign mercenaries present to SDF

Omer made it clear that during their meeting with the American diplomats last week, there was a proposal to hold a conference, or an international conference, or an international tribunal to resolve the problem of the mercenaries present to SDF adding, "These proposals are still under consideration and discussion."

The co-chair of the External Relations Office of the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria pointed out at the end of his speech that the presence of a large number of mercenaries in the area is a threat to the countries in general as the extremist thought is still alive so the global countries must address this problem and work to fight it through receiving their citizens.
