Lilwa al-Abdullah: With our fighters' will, our campaign will be victorious

On 11 November, 2018, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a statement to the public opinion, in which they announced the resumption of the battle to defeat terrorism after the announcement of SDF of a temporary suspension of its campaign on last 31 October after the Turkish occupation army launched attacks on North Syria, especially in al-Jazeera and the Euphrates regions. 

In this context, ANHA agency conducted a meeting with the official spokeswoman of the campaign of al-Jazeera Tempest Lilwa al-Abdullah about the resumption of the final phase of the battle to defeat terrorism in the framework of the campaign of al-Jazeera Tempest to liberate the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The attacks of the Turkish occupation forced them to stop their campaign

At the beginning of her speech, Lilwa al-Abdullah pointed out that the attacks of the Turkish army on North Syria forced them to stop the campaign of al-Jazeera Tempest within the battle to defeat terrorism against IS because of the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the city of Girê Spî, Kobanî and al-Jazeera cantons. We sent the Syrian Democratic Forces fighters to those areas to repel the attacks launched by the Turkish army.

She has noted that IS mercenaries benefited from the attacks of the Turkish army and the suspension of the campaign and continued, "IS mercenaries mobilized their forces after we had stopped fighting against them, strengthened their morale which collapsed after our victories in the battles against them and started their attacks on the points of concentration of our forces exploiting the Turkish army's attacks on North Syria and the weather conditions, but our troops were vigilant and they responded to these attacks and failed them."

'Our forces are ready to repel any attack'

She also said, "Our meetings with the Alliance led to mobilizing joint patrols along the border, and it confirmed its readiness to repel any attack, and we deployed our forces on the border areas with the patrols that were run as a comfort for the people of that area."

The attacks will not discourage us from our duty to liberate the area from IS 

She continued, "We also assure to our people that we are fully prepared to repel the attacks that are trying to undermine the will of the people and the gains they have made thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs and the resistance of our forces in the battlefields."

'Our campaign will be crowned with victory thanks to the will of our fighters'

The official spokeswoman of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign said at the end of the statement, "Our campaign has started with the will of the people and will triumph with the will of our fighters. This campaign will be crowned with the great victory by eliminating IS from the geography of north and east of Syria."
