Kongra Star held meetings in Aleppo on "World Day for Combating Violence Against Women"

Kongra Star held 9 women's meetings in various parts of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo on the occasion of the World Day for Combating Violence against Women, which remarks on the 25th of November.

During the meetings, the administrators of Kongra Star Siham Bilal, the administrator in the Diplomatic Relations Department of Kongra Star Leila Khaled and the administrator in the Training Committee of Kongra Star Dunya Bakr spoke in the meetings.

The administrators spoke during their speeches about the revolution brought about by the sisters Mirabal, who stood against the ruling authority, and their assassination on  November 25 in the Dominican Republic.

The administrators also pointed out that women's struggle is aimed at ending the violence emanating from the authoritarian politics exercised by masculine authority.

The speeches touched upon the role of women in the revolutions and what is taking place on the Syrian scene today, scenes of violence practiced by both the ruling regime and mercenary gangs, that women fought for their freedom and that the Rojava Revolution in which women led an important role is an example for all women in the world.

All meetings ended with by affirming on developing the role of women in all aspects and the determination to stand up against violence.
