Bedran Çiya Kurd: Ending IS in Syria linked to end Turkish Occupation

TEV-DEM organizes a series of meetings for the residents of Zarkan district in al-Hasakah canton to discuss the latest developments in Syria.

Today, a meeting was held in Zarkan, attended by dozens of people from the district, as well as a member of the Executive Body of TEV-DEM Bedran Çiya Kurd.

After holding minute of silence, he spoke about recent political developments in Syria in general and in the north and east of Syria in particular. During his speech, he called upon all the peoples of Syria to step up the struggle and resistance against the attacks of the Turkish occupation state as well as the liberation of all areas occupied by the Turkish occupation.

He also pointed out that the Syrian regime must recognize the danger of the Turkish occupation of northern Syria. Stressing that the Turkish state supports IS mercenaries and Jabhat al-Nasra, and that ending the existence of IS mercenaries in Syria is linked to end the Turkish occupation.

At the end of his speech, Çiya noted that the major tasks of the Syrian people are the liberation of the areas occupied by the Turkish occupation, such as Afrin, Jarablos, al-Bab and others, he said ,"The liberation of these areas from the Turkish occupation will contribute to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis."

The meeting ended with the opening of the discussion and the presentation of opinions and questions by the participants in the meeting.
