Arab clans: we will confront Turkish occupation, clans outside do not represent us

Hawar news agency (ANHA) held an interview with a number of Arab clans' notables in al-Hasakah canton about the Turkish occupation army's attacks on North Syria.

The Mukhtar of al-Jabour clan, Hussein Mohammed al-Sultan, said, "We reject the Turkish threats. We, the peoples of the area; Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs are fighting in the same trench against anyone would attack us, and the Arab clans in the area are fully ready to support the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) against the Turkish occupation.

The notable of Tufaihail clan Mohammed Ali said, "The Turkish threats that are still ongoing are not new, but since the beginning of the Syrian revolution as Turkey has entered the mercenaries through its territories and all these terrorist gangs have been defeated, the last of which were IS mercenaries. As IS are imminent to be eliminated in the eastern Euphrates, Turkey has shown its violence by targeting North Syria to obstacle things and maintain the presence of IS.

In response to a question, in the event of Turkey's invasion of the eastern Euphrates along the lines of Afrin, what will be the position of the Arab clans, Ali said that our position is to take up arms, defend the Syrian territory and confront the Turkish occupation.

"We condemn any aggression on the Syrian territory. We support Syria; land and people, and we will not accept any aggression on our territory," Sheikh Saleh al-Musallat of al-Jabour clan condemned the Turkish aggression.

Sheikh Mohammed al-Talaa, a sheikh of al-Bakara clan, said, "We reject any threat to our areas from the river to the sea. The Turkish aggression will not undermine our determination to defend our land. Our position is firm which is to defend our land till the last breath."

"We condemn the Turkish threats against North Syria. As Arab tribes and clans in the area, we categorically reject these threats. The threats aim to undermine the unity of Syria and its people," said Sheikh Talaa al-Talaa.
