'US , Western countries must consider PKK as enlightenment party not terrorist'

The Syria's Modernity and Democracy Party stressed that the view of the PKK from the Turkish point of view of oppression and racism and its continued hostility by the United States and Western countries exacerbates the problems of the Middle East. The party demanded that the United States and Western countries desist from supporting Turkish racist and extremist tendencies to deal with the PKK, but to consider it as a force of enlightenment and liberation in the Middle East.

The party explained that this view complicates the efforts of the war on IS and the forces of terrorism and religious extremism, during a statement issued by the party to denounce the American decision against the three Kurdish commanders Jamil Bayik Murad Qaraylan and Duran Kalkan.

The text of the statement:

In a narrow and superficial understanding of the situation in the region, and in the framework of a local policy that does not provide a fair and just solution to its causes, the United States issued on 6 of this month its unjust decision aimed at the great strugglers, Jamil Bayik Murad Qaraylan and Duran Kalkan, commanders of the Kurdistan Workers Party(PKK), which is a shock to our party which believes in peace and the values of coexistence and respect for the right of peoples to defend themselves and protect their identity and achieve.

Through the resolution, the United States wanted to maintain a balance in the relations between Turkey and SDF so that Turkey agrees to its turbulent about the PKK .

However, that resolution, can only reflect a pragmatic, short-sighted and irresponsible pragmatic political face of the United States, which must change, not for the benefit of the people and the components of the region but for the benefit of the entire international community.

Looking at the PKK from the Turkish point of view of oppression and racism and its continued hostility is exacerbating the problems of the Middle East and complicates the war effort against the IS .

The Modernity and Democracy of Syria Party strongly denounces this decision, and considers it a disgraceful decision that will benefit neither the American people nor the people of the Middle East, but only the forces of religious terrorism in the Middle East.

The party also calls on the United States and the administration of President Donald Trump to retreat this decision, which will not only dispel international efforts to eliminate terrorism, but will deepen the cultural environment that produces extremism and dark terrorism throughout the region.

The party appeals to the United States and Western countries to stop favoring the Turkish racist and extremist tendencies in dealing with the PKK.
