DAA of north, east Syria ratified on formation of new body

The General Council held a meeting attended by a majority of its 70 members in the meeting room of  Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) of Ain Issa district of Girê Spî, in the presence of the co-chairs of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of north and east Syria, Farid Atti and Siham Qariou.

The co-chairs of the Executive Committee for Democratic Autonomous Administration of north and east Syria, Berivan Khaled and Abdul-Muhbash, informed the General Council of the formation of the Youth and Sports Body as a new self-management body for the Democratic Autonomous Administration of north and east Syria and proposed its ratifying on its formation.

The co-chairs of the new body, Maha Faisal Mohammed and Mahmoud Bashir al-Hamad, took the oath in front of the General Council for the Democratic Autonomous Administration of north and east Syria to perform their duties to the fullest extent.

With the approval of the formation of the new body, the number of bodies in the context of Democratic Autonomous Administration of north and east Syria reached to 10 bodies.

The co-chair of the Democratic Autonomous Administration Siham Qaryo, during a speech touched upon the political and military developments in the region. Condemning the recent Turkish attacks on the north of Syria, which targeted civilians, saying they were continuing their democratic project despite the attacks.

During the discussion on the political situation, the attendees discussed the killing of Sheikh Bashir al-Huwaidi, stressing that those behind these plots, including the killing of two young members of Bobena clan in Manbij last year, are an external agenda aimed at destabilizing the region and striking the social fabric in the north of Syria.

At the end of the meeting, November 15 was set as the date for the next session.
