Thousands of the Euphrates region bid Girê Spî martyr farewell

Hundreds of the Euphrates region have bid the martyr Zain Ramadan Khalaf farewell who martyred after the Turkish occupation army on the borders of Girê Spî on Tuesday.

The head of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council Elham Ahmad, head of Future Syria Party Ibrahim Qaftan, co-chair of Defense Body of the Euphrates region Ismat Sheikh Hasan, co-chair of the Executive Council of Kobani canton Anwar Muslim, co-chair of the Euphrates region Hamadan al-Abed  and hundreds of people of the region attended the farewell ceremony.

The procession including hundreds of cars launched at al-Alm roundabout and headed towards Martyr Mahmoud Tama shrine, having reached there, another procession from Kobani had reached.

The ceremony began with holding a minute of silence, followed by a parade by the People Protection Units. Then, head of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council Elham Ahmad delivered a speech which included:, we console martyrs families, our people and ourselves; we denounce the Turkish occupation attack and its aggressive policies against our people, these attacks on the liberated areas which enjoy stability, peoples fraternity and democracy are clear indication that Turkey does not seek peace for Syria, nor for its people.”

Ahmad assured on proceeding struggle in all its forms against Turkish occupation attacks on north Syria, noting that Turkey aims by this aggression to prolong Daesh existence which elimination was imminent.

On his part, head of the Future Syria Party Ibrahim Qaftan said that we should recall to mind what Turkey has done when Daesh seized the bordering areas with Turkey; not even firing a single bullet, on the contrary, it opened all crossing and borders for them providing all kinds of support for Daesh, this proves that Daesh gangs are only soldiers for Turkey which is trying now to defend them by launching attacks on the liberated areas of Daesh.

Qaftan added, “We were and still are saying that we welcome national dialogue which would put an end to our children’s bloodshed, we would only hold dialogues with democrats and peace-seekers.”

Then the document of the martyr was read by the Martyrs Families Council, and handed over to his family.

Afterwards, the corpse of the martyr was buried in the Martyr Mahmoud Tama Shrine amid chants glorying martyrs and calling “Fascist Turkey, Killer”.
