"Revolution was opportunity to show buried talents"

Anahita Sino, the co-chair of the Intellectuals Union in Serê Kanîyê has begun to write poetry since she was 15 years old, but she was suffering from the practices of the Baathist regime because she was writing poetry in Kurdish.

Anahita and many of her friends formed a secret group to learn Kurdish language, where they used to meet at home and learn the Kurdish language. Despite all the obstacles in 2002, Anahita printed a book called "Hestên ji Damarên Xabûr," and with the help of her friends, Anahita issued Babelisk magazine which means a hurricane or a storm, but because of the regime's practices and the political situation, only 3 issues were issued.

After Rojava Revolution, Anahita managed to publish two books, one in Arabic, entitled "I wrote because I love you", the other was Kurdish stories book entitled "The Dog's Tail." Anahita present her books at the Mobile Book Fair in Serê Kanîyê.

Anahita pointed out that women suffer from two aspects, the first from society and the second from the state's regime. She added, "Women must be strong and write without fear."

Anahita pointed out that Rojava Revolution is the revolution of women, "Women during the revolution took their place in the forefront and managed to develop themselves in all fields. This exhibition is the product of the revolution. I feel indescribably happy that women always have their feelings, so I appeal to all women to show their talents because the revolution gave us the opportunity to prove ourselves."
