Israeli newspaper: Hezbollah will hide its activities in al-Jolan

An Israeli newspaper said today that Mustafa Mughniyeh, son of Imad Mughniyeh and brother of Jihad Mughniyeh, may now be forced to engage in efforts to revive Hizbullah's military infrastructure in al-Jolan area of Syria.

The newspaper revealed that Israeli defense officials believe that the agent of Iran in reference to "Hezbollah" will try to hide its activities to revive the military infrastructure and capabilities in the Syrian al-Jolan heights.

Officials say Mustafa Mughniyeh, the commander of Hezbollah's activities in Khader area, 3.5 kilometers (2 miles) from the Israeli border, may have to descend underground for fear of his life.

Mustafa Mughniyeh is the eldest son of Imad Mughniyeh, the former military commander of Hezbollah, who was assassinated in February 2008 in Damascus in an operation attributed to Israel and the CIA.

The younger brother of Mustafa Mughniyeh was assassinated in 2015 in al-Jolan heights after attempting to build a military infrastructure there. This assassination was also attributed to Israel.

Hezbollah's current efforts in al-Jolan heights consist primarily of the provision of control centers and equipment to the local population reporting on the organization

According to the information gathered by Israel, Mustafa Mughniyeh occupied a major position in Hezbollah's arms smuggling service.

Since the end of fighting between mercenaries and regime forces in al-Jolan heights in July, the border area has been quiet. Currently, the regime controls the area.
