Mohammed Ali: Autonomous Administration turns into model, occupation hinders solution

A member of the Presidential Council of the Syria Democratic Council SDC, Hassan Mohamed Ali, evaluated developments in the Syrian areas, especially after approaching to elimination of IS mercenaries, in an interview with Hawar news agency (ANHA). The dialogue reads as follows:

How do you assess the situation in Syria, especially after approaching to elimination of IS mercenaries?

There are a lot of interventions in the Syrian situation. There were efforts by international countries to elomination Daesh who have remained in final pocket in east of Deir-ez-Zor , but some of the radical factions existing in Idlib can not be forgotten. In general, attention is focused on a political solution after eradicating IS gangs .

The situation in Syria is now confined to these forces on the ground, and the future of Syria will be determined by the relations, agreements and conflicts between these forces, each of which is trying to influence its power to draw the map of Syria. We in north and east Syria are trying to play an active role in drawing the new Syria. The conflict in Syria must end and the language of dialogue must begin. In these areas we were able to show the nature of the dialogue inside Syria and we were able, as a council, to hold several dialogues especially to gather many different Syrian factions from inside Syria and abroad.

What will happen after eradicating IS ? Is it possible to say that the dialogue phase will begin?

In recent times, some opposition parties have tried to move towards north and eastSyria and sought to establish relations with existing local councils. These attempts are good, so we believe that the Syrian north will become the decisive political axis. We believe that the solution of the Syrian issue, despite these differences between the different powers, must be based on the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.

The Turkish state stands as a stumbling block to resolving the crisis in Syria, and it did not know that the solution to the crisis would emerge in North Syria. The success of this model will be reflected on the Syrian situation in general and these repercussions are beginning to appear in the Syrian interior. Many of the internal areas in Syria have begun to discuss the model in these areas and the situation of stability in these areas, and reached the conclusion that the people can decide their own destiny in terms of managing its areas .

We in north and east Syria have proved that we can manage ourareas , and the future of Syria will be determined in this way, but we see that some international and regional parties intervene strongly because they want a solution on their dimensions. For example the Syrian regime, Iran and Russia are trying to return the system as it was before with some small changes within The regime is formal, while the essence remains. Turkey, too, wants a solution according to its size in order to have a role in the Syrian settlement, so they do not want the right solution for the Syrian people.

Can Syrian crisis be solved with the presence of territories occupied by Turkey?

The Turkish intervention in the north line of Syria and the areas adjacent to the Syrian-Turkish border and recently intervened in Idlib not to resolve the crisis, but is to prolong the life of the Syrian crisis and for Turkey to settle in the area and impose some of its conditions on Syria, including the conditions to obstacle the solution in Syria and resolve the issue Kurdish solution to the model based in north and east Syria.

Turkey is afraid of managing the north and east of Syria and managing the people of the region for themselves and the model of the democratic nation, which Turkey fears that the solution extends inside it, so intervene to obtacle it.

One of the challenges to the Syrian solution is the Turkish presence, so we must work to rectify this problem and approach the issue rationally because the presence of Turkey as an occupied state in Syria means that the solution does not exist and also means that Syria is divided and controlled by foreign countries.

The Syrian regime has repeatedly threatened the north and eastregions of Syria. What is the purpose of these statements, and why does the regime fear the experience of Autonomus Administration ?

We are exerting great efforts at all levels to liberate the area , but now the regime is afraid that the model applied in our areas will become the rest of the Syrian controlled areas if we now compare between the areas controlled by the Syrian regime and the areas protected by the SDF and managed by the local councils And now Autonomous Administration of north and east Syria, we will see a big difference in terms of stability and in terms of services provided. The regime is afraid that this project will become a model for all of Syria, and other countries fear it, so we see it seeking to intervene by all means in order to destabilize the situation and spread chaos in this region.

The north and east of Syria  was able to manage themselves and form their own management, and if we can succeed in this department, we are confident that when we brought the train to this station, we can also deliver the train to the final stage. In the current situation, I think that the area of north and east Syria will remain as it is until the final solution, and the international coalition remains until the end of the Syrian solution.
