SDF deal strong blows to Daesh in Hajin

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces today issued a statement to the public, revealing the results of the battle to defeat terrorism, which is the last stage of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign to liberate the stronghold at Daesh hand east of the Euphrates River, Hajin. The center confirmed that 37 terrorists were killed during the battle in the 24th last hour.

The statement said:

"1 - Axis of the Bagouz: The terrorist organization launched an attack on the points of our fighters in the hours of yesterday evening, followed by fierce clashes, in which our fighters targeted 7 sites for terrorists, and continued to the full intensity until this afternoon, our fighters were able to defeat and kill more than 17 terrorists. While the International Coalition artillery targeted terrorist sites, and destroyed several fortifications by Himar missiles, coincided with a number of air raids on points and concentrations of terrorists, one of which targeted a bombed car, where the driver was killed.

The clashes extended yesterday to reach other axes of the contact lines. These clashes are the most violent of its kind, in which a number of terrorists were killed, while the International Coalition aircraft raided several locations and destroyed fortifications and points.

As the clashes continued, there were rallies of terrorists behind the front lines. Our forces targeted them, causing a number of deaths in their ranks, dispersing their ranks, and our fighters foiled terrorists’ plan to prepare for an attack on our positions.

On the other side of the front, the terrorists launched an attack on the positions of our fighters, but they were repelled and a number of terrorists gathering at some point were killed, some bodies of them were seized by our forces. In addition, our fighters seized a number of weapons and quantities of ammunition while the International Coalition was bombing many a location of the terrorists.

During the clashes, four of our fighters rose to the rank of martyrdom, while another got wounded.

2 - Hajin axis: Our fighters responded to a broad attack launched by the terrorist organization on the points and positions of our fighters, and strong clashes broke out, which resulted in the deaths of a number of terrorists, in addition to injuring several others.

This axis witnessed intermittent clashes until the moment of preparation of this outcome.

3. The final outcome of the clashes:

- Number of terrorist deaths: 37 Terrorists.

- Terrorist losses: the destruction of 13 buildings where terrorists were holed up, the closure of two roads used by terrorists to facilitate their movement, the destruction of nine defensive positions, and a vehicle loaded with Dushka weapons.

- The number of strikes of the coalition: 14 strikes.

- Number of rockets launched by the International Coalition on terrorists’ sites: 18 Himar missiles.
