4 years later, he recalls resistance memories in Kobanî

In 2014-2015, heroic resistance took place in Kobanî canton after a large-scale offensive attack had been launched by ISIS, bringing all the heavy weapons they seized in al-Mosul, al-Raqqa and Palmyra.

It was called the Resistance of the Century, as the fighters of People and Women Protection Units YPG, YPJ and other factions, responded to the ISIS mercenaries which previously terrorized the Iraqi and Syrian armies, and occupied large areas of the two countries.

Kobanî was the start of the end of ISIS, where we see today that the Syrian Democratic Forces are tightening the screws on them in Hajin area, which is the last stronghold of ISIS in east of the Euphrates River.

This resistance has seen many tournaments, including the martyrdom operation of the martyr Arin Mirkan, which shook the pillars of ISIS, and this process is still mentioned by the peoples eager for freedom, which got rid of the dark of ISIS

After the liberation of Kobanî early in 2015, the Autonomous Administration announced part of the city (in the vicinity of the crossing of Murshid Pinar), as a museum witness to the resistance.

On the walls of the buildings in that area, the blood of the fighters who were martyred in defense of the city, and there are the names of the fighters who were caught in the siege of the mercenaries.

Mustafa Ahmad, a fighter in the YPG, joined the People Protection Units in 2013. In 2014, Mustafa participated to thwart the attacks of IS mercenaries, and had presented with his comrades, heroic resistance, and remained with his comrades until Kobanî was liberated.

After four years of this resistance, Mustafa recalled the situations that had taken place with them in the area dedicated to the museum, which witnessed heroic resistance, after the Turkish occupation state passed ISIS mercenaries from the crossing of Murshid Pinar to Kobanî.

During his visit to the museum, Mustapha said: "We resisted in these streets, I remember my martyrs' comrades, I am very proud of them, because they were the source of our morale, we will walk on the path of martyrs until they achieve their goals

Now Mustafa Mohammed is a fighter in the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces and is carrying out his duties in Ain Issa district. This is the first time that Mustafa has visited Kobanî's Museum, the place of their resistance.

When Mustafa Ahmed was walking through the streets of the museum, he recalled the resistance of all the fighters, pointing to the places where blood was present, the stories of fighters who resisted until they were martyred. Mustafa confirmed that his visit to the museum restored to his memory the Resistance of the Century.
