Resisting bitter displacement, she worked to support her family

The women of Afrin city, who faced difficult conditions as a result of the Turkish occupation and the fierce attacks on their city, did not accept the conditions of displacement and the hardships of living in the refugee camps, where they moved to a place of resistance and proof the will of the woman which the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries tried to break.

Fatima Abed al-Karim Hannan, 58 years old, is from Mazin village in Afrin canton. During her life, she worked hard to secure the demands of her family. She worked in the agricultural lands. She learned from her mother the profession of natural herbal medicine.

After the occupation of Afrin by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, she went with her family to al-Shahba and now lives in Serdem camp.

Fatima works in selling vegetables and fruits inside the market of Serdem camp to secure her livelihood, where people buy from her as she sells vegetables and fruits at cheap prices.

In addition to her work in the sale of vegetables and fruits, Fatima works in the profession she learned 25 years ago. Her parents treat natural herbs and treat most of the parents free of charge as a kind of help in the conditions of forced displacement.

The mother Fatima said during an interview with ANHA agency that the Turkish occupation did not distinguish between an Arab and a Kurd in Afrin and forced all the people from to leave their homes.

The Turkish occupation state wanted to break the will of women through the occupation of Afrin and the displacement of its people, but we did not give up and we will remain steadfast in the face of their attacks until the liberation of Afrin and return to it."
