No to authoritarian mentality, yes to women's freedom

In conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and in recent times there have been several killings of women in the regions of Rojava , Girkê Legê districts' women have demonstrated , Tel- Koçer and Girkê Legê district .

During the demonstration, women are holding banners written on it  "No to killing women, no to violence against women, no to slavery, yes to free participatory life, yes to equality with men, yes to women's dignity, the time of violence against women is over." The demonstration started from the courtyard of the martyr Khabat and toured the main street in Girkê Legê district so that women echoed during the demonstration slogans calling for women's freedom.

And after reaching to the center of Girkê Legê district the demonstrators stood a minute of silence after reading the administrator at the Kongra Star Aihan Murad, a statement stated in its text:

As a women's movement, we reject the mentality of murder and violence against women. We reject the classic mentality that finds its strength in killing women, denies their identity and does not seek radical solutions to society's issues, especially the issue of women.

As we approach International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women,on 25 November, we condemn the murders of women under any name. Once again we raise our flags and stand firmly and say no to violence against women, nor to murder. We pledge that we will step up the struggle against male reactionary mentality, And we work on all segments of society in order to lift the injustice of women and the advancement of society, and achievement of freedom, justice and equality.
