perpetrators of Koçeret crime at hands of justice

The crime occurred in the above-mentioned date against the victim Hajar Ali Othman who was found killed with two bullets in the head by a pistol of 7 mm caliber. His body was mutilated on the dirt road between Kerkendal and Girê Shera villages in Dêrik.

After the crime, the security services mobilized in Dêrik and al-Koçeret area to investigate the circumstances of the crime and find out the perpetrators. After the investigations, the security services managed to arrest the perpetrators who confessed in the investigations of their crime. In this regard, the Public Prosecution Office in Dêrik issued a statement included,

“On 13-10-2018, a heinous murder was committed in al-Koçeret area of Dêrik area on the dirt road that connects Kherkendal village with Girê Shera village which left the victim Hajar Ali Othman who had a sum of money for goods, and the sum estimated 140,000 US dollars (2,782,000) in his pocket.

Immediately after the crime, all the security services in Dêrik and al-Koçeret in cooperation with the Inquiry and Prosecution Commission in Dêrik were fully alerted to uncover the circumstances of this heinous crime that undermines the security of the area and the citizens. The perpetrators thought that they are capable to escape punishment; however, on 19-10-2018, the security services with all branches and in cooperation with the Inquiry and Prosecution Commission managed to find out and arrest the perpetrators.

Therefore, we assure our people that our security forces will remain vigilant protecting the security and safety of citizens and the safety of their properties. We pledge our people to hold accountable whoever might wish to commit crimes and destabilize the security and stability of the area and the citizens.”

Furthermore, the Internal Security Forces are expected to release a statement disclosing the details of the crime and the identity of the perpetrators.
